Baltimore in Black and White

a new comedy by Jason Odell Williams

directed by Charlotte Cohn

"People Don't Hug Enough"

Starring Judy Jerome, Christopher Burris, Catia Ojeda, Charleigh E. Parker, Paul Perroni, Anthony Vaughn Merchant, Christopher Burke and Sadrina Renee.

A young woman is about to marry an old friend of the family.   The only problem: she's white and Jewish; he's black... and not.

This laugh-out-loud ensemble comedy looks at how far we've come (and how far we haven't) over the past two decades by exploring two Baltimore family's relationships in 1987 and today.

BALTIMORE IN BLACK & WHITE, which has been described as "A Neil Simon play meets a Chris Rock concert," has had readings and been developed at Primary Stages, MTC Creative Center, The Culture Project, The New School for Drama, Ensemble Studio Theatre and The Baltimore Playwrights Festival.

“Baltimore in Black & White has terrific characters, sharp dialogue, and bang-on insights.”

- Neil LaBute
